My Story

Ellie Montgomery is a student at the Kansas City Art Institute, and is currently studying Illustration. When she was 16 she wrote and illustrated her first picture book Beyond the Northern Sun. The book was a fairytale centered on Sami myth. Ellie wrote this book with the hope of sharing the stories of an under appreciated culture to a wider audience. In her spare time, Ellie plans out and develops her new ideas. She encourages her audience to tell their story.  She loves helping people develop their own creative ideas and using the art of illustration to bring the imaginary to life.
